Francesco Agostini
Hello there! I'm Francesco Agostini, an Italian wildlife photographer and tour leader. My journey into nature photography began with birdwatching at the age of 12, sparking a lifelong passion for the natural sciences. A deep love for nature is essential for any wildlife photographer, and this enthusiasm is at the core of every tour I lead. My approach emphasizes the authenticity of the experience, prioritizing genuine encounters with wildlife and the environment over simply capturing the perfect shot. This philosophy ensures that each tour is not just a photographic expedition but a profound and immersive adventure into the natural world.

-
Do I need prior photography experience to join the tour?No prior experience is required. Our tours cater to photographers of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. We will provide guidance and tips on photography techniques, composition, and post-production to help you capture stunning images.
-
What kind of wildlife can I expect to see in Nepal?Nepal is home to a diverse range of wildlife. During the tour, you may encounter Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, elephants, leopards, and various species of birds.
-
What sets this tour apart from other tiger photography tours?Unlike most tiger photography tours that primarily rely on vehicle safaris, our tour offers the unique experience of tracking tigers even on foot. This approach provides a more immersive and authentic encounter with these magnificent creatures. While on foot, we prioritize safety with experienced guides, maintaining a respectful distance, and using appropriate safety measures to ensure both participant and animal well-being. This method allows for a deeper connection with the environment and a truly unforgettable wildlife experience.
-
Is there a guarantee of seeing or photographing tigers on this tour? While the tour is designed to maximize the chances of encountering tigers, we cannot guarantee sightings or successful photographs. Tracking tigers on foot in their natural habitat offers a unique and thrilling experience, but it also involves unpredictability. The primary goal is to enjoy and appreciate the authenticity of the experience, and even if a tiger sighting doesn’t occur, the adventure and connection with nature remain profoundly rewarding.
-
How do you ensure the safety and well-being of participants during the tour?Your safety is our top priority. We work with experienced local guides who are knowledgeable about the terrain and wildlife. Our itinerary is carefully planned to include safe and comfortable accommodations, and we provide detailed briefings on safety protocols and what to expect during the excursions. We also recommend purchasing travel insurance for added protection.
-
What photography equipment should I bring for the tour?We recommend bringing a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a range of lenses, including a wide-angle lens for landscapes and a telephoto lens for wildlife. A sturdy tripod, extra batteries, memory cards, and a portable storage device are also essential. Don't forget a camera rain cover and cleaning kit to protect your gear from the elements.
-
What health precautions should I take before joining the tour? Before joining a wildlife photography tour, it’s important to consult with your doctor about necessary vaccinations and medications. Common recommendations include vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and tetanus.
